The Idaho Springs City Council got a close look at the construction work along Colorado Boulevard on June 5.
Council members walked along newly paved sidewalks and looked at the recent work done as part of Phase 2 of the reconstruction project.
“I think it is going to be beautiful,” Mayor Mike Hillman said. “They are on schedule. The last week of July is still the finish date.”
The first phase was completed in 2005 by CDOT, and the second phase is expected to finish on July 28.
