Clear Creek voters Tuesday approved a sales tax increase to help fund the county’s EMS district, and Idaho Springs voters gave the city the green light to move forward on a bond issue geared toward fixing its streets.
According to early results, voters approved a 0.65 percent sales tax increase to fund the county's emergency services with 76 percent of the vote, according to unofficial results. More than 1,600 voters approved the measure, while 893 were against.
