Feb. 2
Clear Creek High School will host a career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is looking for professionals to talk with students about their career fields. To volunteer, contact Mary Smith at 303-679-4608.

The Idaho Springs Chamber is holding a free membership drive and mixer on Feb. 2 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beau Jo’s.

Feb. 4
Valentine Magic is the theme of the First Friday health promotion event from 3:30 to 6 p.m.  Feb. 4 at St. Paul’s Parish Hall at 17th and Colorado in Idaho Springs. The event is sponsored by Clear Creek Public and Environmental Health.  

Feb. 12
The Idaho Springs/Georgetown Chapter of PEO will host a Lobsterfest on Feb. 12 at the Easter Seals Camp in Georgetown. The cost is $65 per person for an evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. This is a nonprofit organization.

Feb. 17

Wii games night is set at the Georgetown Library on Feb. 17. The fun starts after school and continues until the library closes at 7 p.m. Play Wii on two projectors, play board games with friends and family, create your own puzzles and eat dinner at the library.

Project Support Senior Center will hold its annual meeting at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 17 at 1402 Miner St. All Clear Creek County residents are invited to participate.

Feb. 23
Suicide Awareness/Prevention Training: This is a free event and will be held on Feb. 23 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the St. Paul’s Parish Hall in Idaho Springs. Call 303-679-2386 to reserve a space.

SOLES4SOULS collects gently worn shoes and distributes them in 125 countries around the world to many who are barefoot. To help with this cause, there will be a shoe drive in Clear Creek County. There is a collection box at Downieville Conoco off I-70 at Exit 234. For more information, contact Michele at 720-320-1755.

MOTHERSHIP DRUM CIRCLE: Are you pregnant? If we get enough interest, we will start a drum circle for pregnant mothers. Let is know if you want to join. CHILDREN’S STORY TIME: Wednesdays at 11 a.m. at the John Tomay Memorial Library in Georgetown.
 Parents and Grandparents, bring your toddlers and preschoolers to the library for preschool fun and stories. Preschool story time entails fun and socialization.

FRIDAY NIGHT BINGO is held at the Senior Center in Idaho Springs across from Tommyknockers (14th and Mine streets). $10 per player at the door, additional game cards $1 each.  
Doors open at 6 p.m.; games start at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit STI, a 501C3 nonprofit.

THE UNITED STRENGTH AL-ANON FAMILY group provides help, understanding and anonymity for friends and family of alcoholics and addicts. FREE HEALTH ASSESSMENTS are offered to those 18 and older by Colorado Heart Healthy Solutions and Clear Creek Public Health. Cholesterol screenings, diabetes check, cardiac assessment, education, navigation, referrals and resources are offered from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Monday or by appointment at other times. SUPPORT GROUPS FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: The Clear Creek County Advocates offer support groups to children, men and women who are victims of domestic violence. These groups meet once a week and are free. For more information, call 303-679-2426.
