The Clear Creek County Transfer Station and Recycling Center is gearing up for a second year of providing disposal of household hazardous waste this summer.
The center, at 1531 Soda Creek Road in Idaho Springs, will collect household hazardous waste from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9, July 14, Aug. 18 and Sept. 15. The cost will be $2 per gallon of paint and $2 for every 10 pounds of other materials, including flammables such as gasoline or paint thinner, pesticides, fertilizers, mercury thermostats, aerosol cans and poisons.
