To say Samantha O’Brien was in a zone on Saturday would be an understatement. The junior recorded a hat trick, but it wasn’t enough for Clear Creek in a 7-6 home loss to Sheridan.

The teams combined in the slugfest for eight goals in the first half, entering the intermission in a 4-4 tie.

Clear Creek (3-2-1) had its second best offensive outing of the season, scoring an additional two goals in the second half, but it wouldn’t be enough as Sheridan found the net three times in the final 40 minutes for the victory.

Sheridan (7-4) continued its impressive numbers on offense, scoring more than five goals for the seventh time this season.

The Diggers meet Arrupe Jesuit tonight, followed by a home match with Dawson on Saturday.
