Ally Huff scored all four Clear Creek goals, including the game-winner in the second half, as the Lady Golddiggers snuck past visiting Sheridan, 4-3, on April 16 at CCHS.
Huff has scored a league-high 23 goals this season for Clear Creek (6-4, 5-1 3A Frontier League).
The Lady Golddiggers have won five of their last six, including three straight. Clear Creek has outscored the opposition 19-5 in those three wins since a 4-1 loss to league-leading The Academy on April 6.
Sheridan (4-4-3, 4-2-1) had won four of five. It’s lone loss was also to The Academy.
Clear Creek, which has never qualified for the 32-team 3A state playoffs, is in second place in the league standings with four games remaining. The top five teams in the league qualify for the playoffs.
Clear Creek continues its regular-season schedule with an April 21 showdown with Middle Park (4-5, 3-1). Game time is scheduled for 10 a.m.
