A Jefferson County judge awarded two former Idaho Springs Beau Jo’s employees a combined $17,632 after determining the restaurant retaliated by firing them as a result of their sexual harassment complaints in 2009.
However, the judge denied their claims of discrimination based on gender.
The judge ruled in favor of siblings Shane and Bryanna McCormick even though an advisory jury determined there was no retaliation. The judge agreed with the jury that there was no discrimination based on gender.
