Michener’s stay short, but experience was worth it

DENVER — The fact wasn’t lost on Walter Michener. All the Clear Creek sophomore had to do was look up into the stands at the Pepsi Center on Feb. 16 and see the crowd. It was an intimidating site.
“I’ve never seen so many people in my life,” Michener said. “... It’s my second year of wrestling. All of my friends have been wrestling a lot longer than me. Most of them weren’t able to go to state this year. I had the privilege of coming.”
