Size can mean a great deal in basketball, and the Platte Canyon Huskies proved they knew what to do with their advantage as they pulled away from the Clear Creek Golddiggers 37-23 on Jan. 22 at Clear Creek High School in a Girls 3A Frontier League game.
The Huskies struggled early but pulled away in the fourth quarter thanks to the inside scoring of their two 6-footers and outscored the Diggers 19-4 in the final period to turn a close game into a laugher.
