Take me out to the ball game

An 1864 baseball game was played on Sept. 19 as a part of the ongoing 150th Gold Rush Anniversary celebration. The Idaho Springs Miners beat the Central City Stars 9-8, scoring the last run in the bottom of the ninth. The Colorado Vintage Base Ball Association, in cooperation with the Historical Society of Idaho Springs and the Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District, staged the unique exhibition at Shelly Field in Idaho Springs.
