Work under way on detour route to prepare for Twin Tunnels project

Work is being done on County Road 314 to prepare it to become the eastbound detour route during the expansion of the Twin Tunnels.
The road, which is an Interstate 70 frontage road on the east end of Idaho Springs between the Scott Lancaster Bridge and the Hidden Valley interchange, is closed until November. Exceptions are emergency vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians.
