    Canine on the Creek 5K starts at 10:30 a.m. Grab Fido and your running (or walking) shoes and head up to Dumont to raise funds and awareness for Charlie’s Place - the Clear Creek and Gilpin County Animal Shelter. This fun, fast and scenic course travels along Clear Creek. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, non-aggressive and leashed at all times. Participants are allowed to run with one dog.     The 2013 Georgetown Holiday Decorating Contest judging will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19. There will be first-, second- and third-prize winners from each ward in Georgetown, plus lots of honorable mentions. If you want to decorate a bridge, call the Town Hall at 303-569-2555, ext. 15.
