    Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon celebrates its 34rd anniversary this summer. The race begins at 8 a.m. Aug. 11 at Georgetown Lake. The race benefits the Clear Creek Booster Club, which provides scholarships and support for sports and extracurricular activities for Clear Creek Middle and High Schools.     Free Quickbooks Q&A class: A Quickbooks class will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Georgetown Community Center. This class is designed to answer basic questions about your Quickbooks program and help fix data-entry problems. We will cover the basics of financial statements and how information is entered into your program. If you have never used Quickbooks before, this is a great start.     Sleepover in the Stacks will be from 5 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday at the Idaho Springs Library. Kids ages 6 -12 should bring sleeping bags and pillows. Dinner and breakfast are included. Teens may volunteer at this event. Pre-register because space is limited.

    Fireworks CANCELED: The Idaho Springs and Georgetown fireworks displays are canceled.

    July Fourth Parade: The July 4 Parade in Georgetown will be at 11 a.m. on 6th Street, and a 5K race will be held with a barbecue and 2 p.m. bucket brigade.
