Feeding the hungry

The new walk-in freezer at the Loaves & Fishes food bank was nearly empty on Friday afternoon, but by the end of this week, more than 4,000 pounds of frozen turkeys will fill the shelves in anticipation of the Thanksgiving holiday.
With the help of donors, a few helping hands and some strong backs, more than 250 turkeys and Thanksgiving boxes will be distributed to Clear Creek County families in need.
