Slow start spells Diggers’ downfall

One wouldn’t have known it looking at the scoreboard — a 19-9 loss to Lutheran — but the Clear Creek Golddiggers’ boys lacrosse team was enthralled by the way it played, particularly over the final three quarters on March 19. However, the first 14 minutes of CCHS’ home opener left a lot to be desired.

To say that the Golddiggers came out a little less than on fire would be an understatement. Lutheran scored the game’s first nine goals — a deficit that was more than Clear Creek could handle.
