Golddiggers’ youth brightens future prospects

LAKEWOOD — Clear Creek junior Luka Patton didn’t hang his head despite finishing last in the Class 2A boys 200 meters preliminary race May 19 at Jeffco Stadium.

 “It was an awesome experience just being here,” Patton said after running a time of 24.25 seconds to place 18th. “It was a great experience. It’s an electric experience.”
