A human skull found near Silver Plume is getting a once-over from Texas investigators for clues as to how it got there.
Few details have been released about the skull, which was found by a hiker on April 15.
However, the skull is believed to be from a woman between the ages of 23 and 43, based on initial forensic investigation, said Capt. Bruce Snelling, a spokesman for the Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office. The skull does not exhibit signs of trauma, Snelling said.
