Flu outbreak hammering Colorado

-A A +A

County, however, has received few patients coping with the illness

By Ian Neligh

While the state is in the grip of one of its worst influenza outbreaks in recent years, the clinic in Idaho Springs has seen few patients with the flu.

Amanda Pratt, clinic lead at Centura Health Primary Care Clinic, estimates that around 250 people have received flu shots at the newly opened office.

"We've definitely seen a lot of people come in for flu shots," Pratt said. "We've gone through quite a few flu vaccines this season, and we're really recommending that everyone come in this month and get it."
