Body found near Silver Plume identified

A homicide investigation is being conducting by the Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office after the body of a 31-year-old man was discovered by property owners near Silver Plume on Oct. 9.
The body of Conrad Keith Crall of Kiowa was found by the residents while they were hiking on their property near Interstate 70, according to the Sheriff's Office.
"Property owners were up hiking around their property, and they came upon (him) and called the office," said Sheriff Don Krueger.
Krueger said the body had been on the property between 10 days and two weeks. He added that the man was identified through fingerprints.
Last Thursday authorities conducted a search of what they're calling a crime scene where they believe the victim was killed. They were assisted in looking for evidence by Alpine Rescue and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Because the investigation is ongoing, the Sheriff’s Office is hesitant to provide further information.
"Anytime we have something — especially a body — that we find out there (and) we don't know what's going on, we're going to investigate it as a homicide until we determine otherwise," Krueger said.
