Students and staff at Carlson elementary dressed up on March 2 to celebrate the birthday of children's book author Dr. Seuss.
Theodor Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904, and wrote over 60 children's books that help children understand concepts like war and the environment with clever rhymes and illustrations.
Carlson principal Loraine Swartz donned a Cat in the Hat costume for the day and had plans to visit all the classes to spend time reading some Dr. Seuss favorites.
