Denise Lori Albers of Idaho Springs passed away at home after a long battle with cancer on June 12, 2010.
Denise was born in Tacoma, Wash., on Jan. 27, 1962, and lived in numerous places until she found her home in the Idaho Springs area 17 years ago.
Denise worked in many locations throughout Clear Creek County, but her passion was working with children through foster care and her most recent position as director of Project Support Senior Center.
Denise was loved by everyone she touched or knew. She will be greatly missed.
The memorial service for Denise has been set for 2 p.m. June 19 at 320 Highway 103, Idaho Springs. Reception will follow at the Elks Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, Denise and her family would like donations to be made to The Project Support Center or Mt. Evans Hospice.
