Gene “Geno” Roger Conzelman was born Oct. 23, 1952, in Grand Island, Neb., and died Sept. 4, 2010, in Denver.
Geno lived outside of Empire for eight years, and before that up Fall River Road, and in Idaho, Washington, and Alaska. His mom and dad, Dale and Elfrida, were Fall River residents since 1969. Gene went to Clear Creek High School and Red Rocks Community College.
He was a carpenter and drummer (Rockslide) extraordinaire. He was a rock hound, silversmith, mechanic and all-around mountain man. He found and married his high school sweetheart, Aleta Trabue, in 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Aleta; daughter, Arlene of Minnesota, and her son, Hunter; son, Clayton of Idaho; and sisters, Yvonne Louthan of Texas and Christine Breitnauer of Denver.
His parents and sister, Marlene, preceded him into the afterlife.
