A 47-year Evergreen resident, Vera Joan Hansen passed away June 8, 2009, at Life Care Center of Evergreen. She was 94.
Survivors include sons Charles (Marianne) Selkirk of Idaho Springs and Lance (Charlotte) Selkirk of Lodi, Calif. There are two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband, Shardlow, passed away a few years ago.
Mrs. Hansen was born Jan. 20, 1915, in Monmouth, Ill. She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Air Force for a few years, though she was mainly a homemaker and mother. She loved her grandchildren, animals and birds. She was also a bridge player. She was a member of Church of the Transfiguration. Her cremated remains will be placed in a columbarium there.
